Student Scholarship

For students or graduates of Bermudian Springs, Biglerville, Delone Catholic, Fairfield, Gettysburg, Littlestown and New Oxford high schools who are accepted into approved post-secondary vocational or technical education.

Qualifying fields include carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and certain construction-related drafting programs. Applications are due by January 31 each year and include a current transcript, a short career-purpose statement and a teacher recommendation.

Student Loan Program

Interest-free, deferred assistance for qualifying students who attended Adams County high schools and continue their education in building-related trades.

BAAC's published program terms provide for repayment to begin three months after completion or termination of post-secondary education, generally over 24 months. Funding is reviewed individually by the Board and depends on availability.

Apprentice Assistance Tool Program

Helps recent or upcoming Adams County graduates entering skilled trades obtain employer-required tools or equipment for entry-level positions.

Support is tailored to the student's career path and job placement. Contact BAAC for current eligibility and reimbursement limits.

Outstanding Student Award

Recognizes one graduating senior from each of the seven Adams County schools for outstanding vocational skills and qualities of good citizenship.

BAAC's published program recognizes each honoree with a certificate and award and invites the student, parents and nominating teacher to the annual Student Award Dinner.

Student Design Program

High-school students are encouraged to design their dream home. Designs are historically judged in connection with the annual Adams County Home Show, with scholarship prizes awarded and winners recognized at the BAAC student award banquet.
